The CAD Technician is responsible for creating professional As-Builts for clients that are an accurate visual representation of work completed in the field.
Reports to: Regional VP of Operations, Northeast Region
This is an in-office position, 5 days per week, in the Holmdel, NJ office.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Receive Daily Reports to create As-Builts for clients (approximately 50+ per week).
- Interpret information from the Daily Report to determine what to incorporate into the As-Built product.
- Direct any points requiring clarification to the Project Manager.
- Create professional As-Builts using AutoCAD Electrical software.
- Re-distribute final product to the Project Manager.
- Store and track all Daily Reports for unfinished and pending jobs.
- Manage workload and prioritize As-Builts based on client/project needs.
- Adheres to company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements
- 2 – 5 years of Electrical CAD experience, CAD Certification or CAD college-level coursework.
- Microsoft Office experience – Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical, Auto Sketch Electrical, PDF Converter, and MS Paint.
- Construction Industry experience preferred.
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and be flexible.
- Strong written and verbal skills.
