The Recruiter manages the full-cycle recruiting process, partnering closely with hiring managers to understand talent needs and identify the best candidates for each open position. This includes sourcing and screening candidates, managing the interview process, facilitating hiring manager interviews and extending offers. The Recruiter builds strong relationships with both hiring managers and candidates throughout the process, ensuring a positive experience and a strong match between the candidate and the organization. The Recruiter proactively develops and maintains a strong talent pipeline to support current and future hiring needs, helping the company attract, hire and retain top talent. This position reports to the Hylan Resources Manager.
Duties and responsibilities
• Design and implement overall recruiting strategy
• Develop and update job descriptions and job specifications
• Responsible for full cycle recruiting, including interview coordination, salary benchmarking, extending offers, and onboarding support.
• Source and recruit candidates utilizing all available recruiting resources, including social networking, industry websites, LinkedIn, job boards, etc.
• Work with management to define current and future staffing needs.
• Identify top candidates and create a strong pipeline of construction personnel.
• Develop networks with construction professionals to source top talent.
• Provide Human Resources support across the business via assisting with onboarding and ensuring a seamless onboarding experience.
• Stay up to date on all construction industry trends and understand all construction roles.
• Other miscellaneous duties as assigned
Qualifications
• Minimum of 3 years of proven work experience as a Recruiter (either an in-house or a staffing agency recruiter)
• Prior experience in construction required; specifically with datacenters, underground utility construction and telecommunications
• Industry knowledge required; familiarity with construction trades and management roles (such as project managers, estimators, site supervisors, etc.)
• Proficient with Microsoft Suite, specifically Word and Excel
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong decision-making skills
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, set priorities and see projects through to completion
• BS/MS in Human Resource Management
• Full time in person position
• Travel will be required
