- Provide necessary drawing files and information to 3rd party surveyors
- Take notes and sketches from project team and make drawings showing issues and/or proposed changes for submittal to client

- Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 1+ years of experience in the underground utility design or construction markets, including underground electrical/civil, telecommunications, sewer/water and fiber/electrical conduit work
- AutoCAD or AutoCAD Civil 3D experience required
- Experience with civil or architectural drawings required
- Experience with REVIT required
- Experience with Adobe Acrobat or BlueBeam Revu required and ability to review and mark up drawings and take measurements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and an ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail and accuracy of information
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel; estimating and scheduling software skills preferred
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments and priorities in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines with efficiency and accuracy
- Ability to take initiative, work well under pressure, and work independently or under executive direction

The Construction Estimator will utilize his/her expertise to help secure work with current and new clients. S/He will deliver contract proposal estimates, post-award purchase orders and subcontracts on a wide variety of underground utility construction projects, which include underground electrical, telecommunications, and sewer/water.
Duties and Responsibilities
Prepare and assemble bid proposals, including completing detailed estimates by calculating complete takeoff of scope of work and soliciting pricing from qualified vendors and subcontractors
Review proposal specifications and drawings
Attend pre-bid meetings to determine the scope of work
Research, negotiate and prepare purchase orders and subcontracts for awarded projects
Participate in pre-job meetings with project management personnel
Other miscellaneous duties as assigned
Qualifications and Requirements
3+ years of relevant construction estimating experience in various telecom, electric, pipeline, and water and sewer markets
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in construction management, engineering, or a related field
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to develop and maintain good working relationships with subcontractors, vendors, suppliers and other business partners
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail and accuracy of information
The drive to deliver high-quality work under very strict deadlines
Knowledge of Microsoft applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
General working proficiency of estimating and takeoff software
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments and priorities in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines with efficiency and accuracy
