In the midst of the current global health crisis surrounding COVID-19, you can rest assured the Hylan team is taking the appropriate measures to ensure the health and safety of our employees. Per state and local government regulations, all Hylan divisions have been deemed essential in our respective markets as we play a key role in the ability to build and support network infrastructure across the nation. By continuing our essential work, we can be sure that our customers do not lose any of the connectivity they need now more than ever.

Hylan employees in the field will continue to work as usual, performing essential functions such as construction and maintenance on their projects. As the number of people working from home has skyrocketed due to the recent shelter in place orders from several cities, the existing telecom infrastructure has become overwhelmed. This makes the work that our Hylan field employees are doing as important as ever, and we are incredibly appreciative of them for carrying out their duties with incomparable grace.

Back in the office, we have also implemented plans for desk workers to continue their duties from home. This allows our in house team to practice good social distancing, therefore doing our part to slow the spread of the virus. Additionally, Hylan leadership is holding twice-weekly virtual meetings focused exclusively on the impacts of COVID-19 on its team members and company divisions as well as the business and industry overall. This allows our plan to remain fluid and change in tandem with the dynamic world situation. Leadership has also been keeping a close eye on federal relief efforts and determining the impact to both employees and the company. We are dedicated to doing whatever it takes to keep the company together.

With the quarantines of late, the human connection is more vital than ever and it’s important that our industry come together to do what we can to support the shift that is happening right now. We sincerely hope that everybody is staying safe and healthy.
