International Telecoms Week (ITW) is the world’s largest gathering of global executives from across the telecoms and ICT Infrastructure ecosystem. As it has in past years, ITW 2022 will feature thought leadership from some of the most senior executives in the industry. One of the things our team always looks forward to at ITW is connecting with and hearing from industry leaders to dial in on the challenges, opportunities and trends shaping the industry and driving innovation.

ITW 2022 has established three core themes around which many of this year’s discussions and panels will focus. As our team prepares to attend this much anticipated event, we’re looking at what Hylan can bring to the table to precipitate informative, action-oriented conversations. Here are the 2022 themes and Hylan’s experience that will allow us to contribute to the conversations that are helping to drive ICT infrastructure forwards.

Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance

ESG is now top of the agenda for many executives, as are smart city initiatives such as air quality monitoring, energy use optimization, and electricity, water, and waste tracking. Hylan Companies are proud to be contributing to the creation of this new, smart world. By partnering with private companies and government agencies, we help prepare cities and municipalities to improve transportation, streamline community involvement and communications, and promote a more efficient and environmentally friendly use of resources.

Infrastructure

Investment into the physical infrastructure underpinning communications is vital to enhancing connectivity and delivering services. We work across the Wireline, Wireless, and Municipal/Smart City segments and provide a range of comprehensive services. So, for example, we undertake Telecom Outside Plant Construction – underground and aerial fiber construction and splicing; and Small Cell and DAS design and construction on behalf of the nation’s largest wireless carriers. We can perform electrical contracting for bridges and highways, as well as engineering, utility construction and maintenance and upgrades to critical network infrastructure.

Digital Transformation

Digital transformation is progressing faster than ever as a growing number of organizations and individuals embrace next-generation connectivity. 5G and the Internet of Things (IoT) are converging on one goal: making smart cities a reality. Our team carries deep knowledge of these markets and has identified strategies to actually make them ‘smart’. We have years of experience deploying small cells and DAS systems before 5G requirements were even released. Hylan is not only an expert in navigating local regulatory markets to secure approval for small cell deployments, but we also have the telecom expertise to identify the most strategic locations for installations for the greatest ROI, a task that network operators often struggle with.

We look forward to engaging in the themes most vital to our industry, including sustainability and the evolution of connectivity services at ITW 2022. We are also excited to connect with the professionals we’ve met at previous industry events and to build new connections with colleagues as we reimagine connectivity.
